Future of the attractions industry

Tuesday 22nd September | 13:00 | N10 Conference Room 1

The businesses that thrive tomorrow will be the ones that understand what's coming today.

Our industry has changed fundamentally in recent years, and the pace of change shows no sign of slowing. Against that backdrop, IAAPA’s Vision 2035 taskforce undertook a comprehensive research initiative to answer a critical question: How will our industry evolve over the next decade? No one has a crystal ball - but this report is grounded in rigorous research, data, and surveys among both industry professionals and consumers, offering attendees a clear view of where to focus their attention.

The goal was to deliver a comprehensive, forward-looking assessment of the emerging trends, potential disruptions, and innovative opportunities set to shape our industry through 2035.

This session opens with key findings from that research. Members of the project task force will then share what the results mean to them - offering candid perspectives on the opportunities, risks, and implications facing their peers across the industry.

Whether you're planning investments, assessing risk, enhancing guest experience, or preparing your workforce for what's next, this session is designed to help you turn foresight into action.

TEA Presents - But can we build it?

Wednesday 23rd September | 13:00 | N10 Conference Room 1

Big ideas are the foundation of our industry and we’ve repeatedly set precedents for pushing boundaries in the world of entertainment.

How do we manage expectations when we go from concept to reality, from dreamy concept art to a physical environment, and something has to change that shifts the vision? What are we doing to maintain quality and ultimately the best guest experience when the design process, and client and guest expectations are shifting so fast?

In this TEA Presents session, we will look at how we can design intelligently when we don’t have big budgets, infinite available space, or even more recently - a concept from a client that isn’t necessarily buildable and how we can constructively incorporate this shift into our process.
