Themed Dining Experience

We were delighted to work alongside Eden Project to deliver a vision for what nature-based urban generation could look like for our home city of Derby. The vision was created for Down To Earth Derby – an initiative that empowers local residents to be part of making the city a world leader in nature-based regeneration, make living with nature a part of our everyday lives and creating a movement with the people of Derby through a series of nature-based engagement projects.

Electric Daisy Concept

As part of the project, the Katapult team worked alongside Eden Project to create 3D visuals, viewable in virtual reality, for Electric Daisy – a nature-inspired cocktail bar concept, that will become a revenue generating venue to support the charity’s overall aims. The Eden Project leadership team created initial concept designs of the Electric Daisy bar concept using existing site infrastructure and integrating as many nature-based touchpoints as possible.

The bar concept also included indoor and outdoor dining areas, planting areas for the Down To Earth Derby team to grow fruit, vegetables and aromats for use in cocktails, and a shop to sell their self-grown produce to the public. Take a virtual reality tour of Electric Daisy below.

We’re ecstatic with the work Katapult has put in to realise our vision of creating a world-leading city in nature-based urban regeneration. Their efforts throughout the project has allowed us to make deeper connections with businesses and residents in the city, taking us one step closer to making our vision a reality.

Down To Earth Derby

Launch event

As part of the project, we helped Down To Earth Derby launch their showcase event to gain public support and private investment to support their vision.

We created the experience design of the launch event, the layout, display boards and led a Virtual Reality area, allowing delegates to see the Electric Daisy in an immersive walk-through tour. Over 300 guests attended the launch event leaving as brand ambassadors for the charity.
