We designed and created a new guest experience at the heart of Alton Towers' popular CBeebies Land.

THE BRIEF

Picsolve along with Merlin Entertainment, The BBC and the other IPs connected with CBeebies wanted to install a photo-studio in the brand new CBeebies Land theme park – part of Alton Towers, England. Creating a fully themed space with optimal guest experience from the start of the project. The aim was to create an immersive and engaging photo capture unit allowing guests to have their photo taken in a replica of the CBeebies TV studios on a green screen background with their favourite CBeebies characters. We developed the guest experience and worked with an installation team to define the ideal guest flow. This featured talking screens guiding guests into the photo studio, where they can then choose from a selection of characters to have a photo with.

WORKING WITH IPS

We were privileged to work with a number of popular BBC IPs within the experience, including Postman Pat, Mr Tumble and In The Night Garden. Brand guardianship was a key priority in the project to ensure all stakeholders were happy with the output, plus, guests would feel immersed in the TV shows they love and watch regularly.
