Katapult wins B Corp of the Year

Katapult has been awarded B Corp of the Year at the inaugural Derby Impact Awards 2025.

More than 170 people came together to celebrate and recognise the city’s most inspiring social ventures, purpose-driven entrepreneurs and mission-led businesses in Derby. Art Director Lily-Ann Bedder and Project Producer Rhianna McGonigal collected the award on behalf of the Katapult team.
B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials.
What is B Corp?
B Corp Certification is holistic, not exclusively focused on a single social or environmental issue. And the process to achieve and maintain certification is rigorous and requires engaging teams and departments across your company. Taking company size and profile into account, verification involves documentation of your company’s business model and information about your operations, structure, and various work processes, as well as review of potential public complaints and possible site visits.

Improving the environment
Since 2022, we have planted over 10,000 trees via Ecologi and helped avoid over 100 tonnes of CO2e entering the environment. Our mindset is clear when it comes to the environment; how can we enjoy the attractions industry, if the world it resides on doesn't exist?
