New Christmas Experience At Twycross Zoo Unveiled

We are delighted to have worked alongside Twycross Zoo to develop an outdoor Christmas experience this winter – creating the concept visuals, narrative development and theming design for the four key areas of the experience.

The award-winning visitor destination and conservation charity is set in over 80 acres of land and home to 500 endangered animals. Guests to the Christmas Spectacular will be able to join Mrs Claus in her kitchen for a festive feast, walk through the snow plaza to hear the Ice Queen sing from her Ice Castle and a chance to visit the Elves’ workshop too.

Meet Mrs Claus in her Gingerbread Kitchen where she’ll serve Breakfast, Lunch or Afternoon Tea. She’ll also be wandering the zoo and joining Santa for Storytime.

Meet the troupe of cheeky Elves who are always up to mischief! Join Santa for Storytime and photo opportunities but be sure to wrap up warm as you never know when snow may fall!

Discover the Ice Queen at her frozen Ice Castle in North Pole Plaza. Watch as she casts icy spells and join in with her Christmas-y sing songs!

NOW OUTDOORS – The Elves are busy in their workshop getting the last presents ready for Christmas. They’ve forgotten the Reindeers and need your help to make their magical food!

Speaking on the project, Twycross Zoo Marketing Manager, Katie Herranz-Sanchez, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming guests back to our Christmas experience in December. As well as working with Katapult to add some sparkle to this year’s festive experience, we have also worked tirelessly to ensure the experience is Covid-secure, along with the rest of the visitor attraction.”

Katapult’s CEO & Co-Founder Dawn Foote, said: “We have loved working on this Christmas project with the Twycross team to bring some added festive cheer to the Zoo and help support the vital conservation work the Zoo continues to take part in.”
