COMMERCIAL
ADVISOR / CONSULTANT

We are a globally active design studio creating themed attractions, destination experiences and immersive environments. Alongside our fee-based design work, we are building a pipeline of equity-based ventures in partnership with operators, IP owners and investors. We are seeking a commercially minded leader to shape the business cases, deal structures, and partner relationships that underpin these opportunities.


The Commercial Advisor/Consultant will be responsible for turning creative concepts into bankable ventures. This role combines commercial strategy, financial modelling, deal structuring and partner engagement. You will work closely with the founders to evaluate opportunities, negotiate viable terms, and build commercial frameworks that allow our creative vision to scale sustainably.

Location: HQ Derby, UK, with flexible & remote working.
Reports to the CEO and works closely with the Leadership Team.

IDEAL PROFILE

  • Experience in themed entertainment, location-based entertainment, leisure, hospitality, IP licensing, or adjacent sectors.

  • Strong financial literacy and business modelling skills.

  • Understanding of how creative concepts translate into operational performance and ROI.

  • Skilled communicator who can bridge creative, operational and investment perspectives.

  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, growing business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Structure commercial deals and co-venture models that balance creative ambition with financial viability.

  • Create and challenge business cases, forecasts and financial models for new attraction concepts.

  • Lead commercial discussions with partners and support negotiation of term sheets and partnership agreements.

  • Assess and prioritise opportunities across markets and sectors, recommending go/no-go decisions.

  • Build commercial processes and governance that support the company’s expansion into equity-based ventures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Deal Structuring & Commercial Strategy

  • Lead the development of commercial frameworks for co-venture, licensing, and equity partnership deals.

  • Shape deal terms, revenue models, profit-share structures, and risk allocation so projects are both defensible and attractive to partners.

2. Business Case Development & Financial Modelling

  • Build (or oversee the building of) robust business cases for new attraction concepts—including market sizing, attendance forecasts, capex/opex estimates, pricing, ROI, IRR, cashflow modelling.

  • Stress-test assumptions and identify value levers and deal breakers early.

3. Partner Engagement & Negotiation Support

  • Act as the commercial lead in conversations with operators, brands, IP owners, investors and developers.

  • Prepare negotiation strategies and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic and financial objectives.

  • Translate creative concepts into commercially coherent pitches.

4. Opportunity Assessment & Pipeline Prioritisation

  • Evaluate inbound and self-generated opportunities using commercial criteria (market fit, scalability, feasibility, risk, required capital, route to ROI).

  • Help prioritise which concepts and partnerships should be advanced, paused, or declined.

5. Commercial Governance & Venture Readiness

  • Establish commercial processes, templates and guardrails for equity-based ventures (term sheets, partner evaluation criteria, business case templates, stage-gate approvals).

  • Ensure deals progress cleanly from creative concept → feasibility → partner alignment → execution.
